EQS Consulting, a company that works in the field of engineering and technology for highly demanding industries, seeks Quality Inspectors for Wind Farms in several European and African countries namely: Portugal, Spain, Canary Islands (Spain), France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, South Africa, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Tanzania.

The Quality Inspector:

• implements, manages, performs, and maintains the quality processes, procedures, inspections, and plans operated within the project group in accordance with Customer requirements,
• is responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality performance on site.
• is responsible for supporting the Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) in implementing the Project Quality Plan on-site and executing quality activities on site in line with the requirements of the product specification and Customer system.
• is responsible for executing Quality Inspections and verifications, partially with the installation subcontractor, customer representatives, service representatives
• Quality reporting including KPI reporting
• Active reporting, management, and follow up of non-conformance workflows and records
• The QI is a Customer quality representative on-site and represents and promotes the Zero Defect and Zero Harm culture.
• The QI will ensure that all non-conformances are reported in the non-conformance system (including findings) databases and execute the day-to-day management of non-conformance workflows to closure.
• The QI will ensure that the site scope as-built (quality) documentation is provided and verified before being uploaded to the system and ensure that the traceability of the turbine is always maintained when being processed through the project scope, by the completion of traceability checklists, component checklists, construction schedules, etc.
• The QI is responsible for managing, advising, and educating the subcontractors with a focus on the Installation Subcontractor and their onsite quality responsible. All related activities documented in checklists about inspections and contractor management must be carried out and ensured.
• The QI should ensure that findings from walk-downs and other inspections/assessments are communicated and documented, with corrective and preventative actions, as lessons learned to site personnel, with the aim of ensuring a continuing improving trend in the non-conformance profile of the project so that the company’s snag targets can be reached. Therefore, perform a Quality talk at the beginning of every work shift as part of the daily briefing/morning meeting.
• Implement stops in proceedings, supplies, and services in close collaboration with Site Management and QMiP
• Represents the project site internally and externally in matters of quality

General competencies / prerequisites / skills:

• Q-Standards (incl. Q-Plan, industry-specific/ local Standards, Audits)
• Measurement & Evaluation (e.g., verification, validation, review, test)
• Product knowledge & inspection methodologies. Quality Inspection/ experience in wind turbines: min. 1 year
• Non-conformance management
• Process and document management including Customer IMS
• IT skills: min. medium knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Collaboration and influencing: Moderation, communication, networking, negotiations
• Technical education with experience from the Wind industry.
• The ability to work within a process environment, process improvement and to promote a healthy and safe working environment.
• Experience in managing, advising, and leading site teams as well as subcontractors
• Experience in working abroad within a multicultural environment.
• Being aware of the content of work instructions related to the given technology, or in case not, gaining this knowledge as soon as possible
• Driving license acceptable by authorities in the country of the delegation
• Self-driven & self-motivated with leadership and manager skills.
• Structured, persistent, trustworthy, and reliable.
• Self-confident and a strong character.
• Willingness to work odd hours and show flexibility in rotation timing if on-site activities require.
• Willingness to travel and stay abroad on sites for an extended time.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain quality processes to a wide range of people and to give presentations to groups.
• Language: fluent in written and verbal English including technical English for wind turbines
