According to international regulations concerning integrated pollution prevention and control, industrial plants whose potential for pollution, and therefore transfrontier pollution, is significant, and that are likely to have significant negative environmental effects, are obliged to meet extremely demanding requirements and follow a strict licensing procedure.
Until 2018, EQS, through its Risk Management & Compliance Consulting Division, will help Galp design measures to prevent and reduce the environmental impacts of the refineries operations, as well as to provide technical assistance during the complete licensing process.
