Pulse Reflectometry (APR/UPR)
Pulse Reflectometry (PR) is a technique based on the reflection of waves. Waves propagates into a medium and when it encounters a discontinuity, part of its energy is reflected, the analysis of the reflected signal can infer information about the system or the medium under consideration.
Pulse Reflectometry is widely used in tubing, were waves can be propagated in the air inside the tube, called Acoustic Pulse Reflectometry (APR) or through the pipe wall, called Ultrasonic Pulse Reflectometry (UPR).
