Remote Field Eddy Current (RFT)
Remote Field Eddy Current Testing (RFET)—commonly referred also as Remote Field Testing (RFT) or Remote Field Eddy Current (RFEC)— is a specialized method for inspecting tubes. Primarily applied to ferrous material, this method is used extensively in the inspection of carbon steel tubing used in steam boilers for power generators, small diameter heat-exchanger tubing, and oil-well casing.
